I have fuel line lightly leaking out the fuel line coupler right on top of the supercharger. This is the line to the left of the cover mounting stud. Does anyone know if I can buy new gaskets there or do I need to replace the entire fuel rail assy? I will try to attach a photo here. 85K miles. PS I just saw a Black GTP on fire on I580 in Oakland last week. Fire just pouring out from under the hood. So I figure I need to get this leaky line fixed pronto. Thanks for your help.

I would park that bad boy and not drive it until you get that fixed. You got stuff there that get's hot enough that it could ignite that leaking fuel.

You should be able to replace the O-rings.
There is a tool made to take those lines off. I believe it's called a "Fuel Line Removal Tool". They can get kinda spendy, but I've seen cheap kits out there..... You should be able to find both at a reasonable price. If your local auto store doesn't have a part number for the O-ring, call your dealer.
Be sure to relieve the pressure at the Schrader valve before removal.

I think this is the tool. The price is fine. http://www.autopart.com/TOOLS/TOOLSMAIN/tool/T_A378.htm. I bought the o-rings from the Dealer for $4. I bought spares. The Release tool cost $5.99 at Autozone. At least I have a part needing changing that is easy to reach..

in case no-one heard, gm put out a recall on all fuel lines for the w-body gp (97-99 i believe) all you had to do was take your car to the local dealership and they would fix it free of charge. this was due to the plastic like fuel lines leading to the fuel rail. i dont know if they will still do this now, but it wouldnt hurt to ask. if nothing else, get a propper fuel line kit and get rid of the old lines yourself.

GM never sent me a note on the fuel line recall. I couldnt get the O-rings into their slot (they are way back in the middle of the connector). So I bought the Dorman Nylon Fuel Repair Kit. The GTP used 800-057 and 800-058. The old nylon lines cut easy with a razor and I stuck them in hot water and they soften just enough to insert the brass splice. You can also curve these lines with Hot water and while holding them bent, stick them in Cold water. The Dorman kit comes with the release tool. They also have the new Quick-disconnect connector. I think the plastic engine cover pushes on the connector and wears it into an oval. I went to 2 Pontiac parts depts and they could only sell me a full 9ft. line (That would be fun to thread in, I think) These Dorman Kits cost $20 ea. http://www.midwayautosupply.com At least I won't be sitting on the side of the road burning like I saw that other GTP a few weeks ago. While I was at it, I got a new fuel filter. Thanks guys for all your help.
