No shocks on our cars, struts only.
I suggest a set of KYB's.
Google KYB and you'll find plenty of places to buy them from. You can get a whole set for under $300.

Struts alone won't lower your car, you need the springs for that. I've heard stories that KYB's have a hard time handling lowering springs, but I've also seen some satisfied customers. I guess it all depends on your expectations.

GMPP has a Strut/Spring assembly that's already assembled.

The only struts I see on there are KYB's, the springs I see are Eibach and B&G.
I think the KYB's will give a pogo effect when used with lowered springs.

I just went blank on where you can ket the anti-pogo kit. Someone help me.

1.5"-2" Without Konis is asking for an extremely rough ride, and no handling.

When you install a progressive rate spring, you need to have a strut that can "harness" the recoil. If you install a lowering spring with stock struts, or even an aftermarket strut there will be times that your tire will loose contact with the road. Not something you want while pulling some "G's" on the back roads.

The only "safe" way to drop your car 1.5" is with a Eibach/Koni combo.... Or comparable. It is expensive, and they won't come assembled.

If you aren't concerned about losing your car in the twisties, you can always just clamp the springs.... It will give you the same ride as if you put lowering springs together with stock struts.

well what would be ideal is if someone has a set used for sale because if I spend 1g on something it wont be springs it will be for speed so really I guess I need someone with a used set I can buy... do you know anyone.. and if they had the tools I would consider trading them there set and cash for my stock pair

I put on the kyb gr2's a few weeks back. It has the pogo thing that you are talking about. Why would this happen. I am still using the stock springs.

Ok, I found the site for ZZP. No one answered the phone, so I will ask it here. Do I have to take the struts out to add in these washers?

Also, I also saw a post about ZZP and if they are still in business, does anyone know?
