We just recently bought a 2000 GTP and i noticed unlike my 98 the supercharger is silent is this normal?

Was the 98's intake modded in any way?

There is a difference between the 98 air boxes and the 00's.
The change was made on the 99 models.

Depends on the noise you're hearing......

Bobby's suggestion is regarding the scream that the SC makes when you step on the gas.

Erik's suggestion refers to a rattle that comes from the snout, usually while the engine is idling.

My 97 would make the charger whine whenever you pushed the gas my 2000 only does it once in awhile. Like the other day it did it all of the sudden then after i stopped and pushed it agin it was silent again
