okay, so it seems that every page I look at on zzp says a different size of pulley to SAFELY drop too. These are the mods I am doing and am curious to see what you all think is actually a safe size to drop to: VS cam, pacesetter headers with 3" dp (this will delete ubend), hi flow cat, stock res, summit turbo muffs,180 tstat, colder plugs (what do you all recommend on those?) PCM, CAI, and SS intercooler. What about a larger TB? I'm thinking safely is 3.2", what about smaller? On the SS intercooler page it says that with everything stock and having the SS intercooler its safe to take it to 3.2" but that just doesn't seem right to me.

Every car is different and you won't know until you scan it.

If you are getting a new cam and doing that much modding you really need to be scanning anyway.

With those mods I don't see an issue running the 3.2, but I wouldn't go smaller without scanning.

i would go with a wide body intercooler rather than the short stack, then you could go with a 3.0 pulley. thats what im runnin and i have not had any problems at all with it.

With the mods listed 3.2 is doable. Iirc the normal I/C requires a bulged hood.

Dropping sizes is easy!
But you have to scan to see if it is compatible. Those mods will allow that size pulley ONLY if it is tuned properly!

wide body intercooler? is that the one that is listed on ZZP for 1000? i'd prefer to leave the stock hood, cheaper and I actually like it more. what are these cradle spacers?

Wbody is another vendor. Wbodystore.com
Cradle spacers go near where the hood attaches so it allows for more clearance since your supercharger will sit higher and hit your hood. Therefore you'll need cradle spacers to lift up the hood some.

I know with ZZP's S2 intercooler there are no issues. But with the Full size S3, there may be issues. However the S2 is more than enough, whereas the shortstack leaves something to be desired

https://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=234&catid=139 this is the intercooler i have, yes its from zzp, on the new gtp's you dont need a hood to do the intercooler, it clearences just fine, i bought my hood 4 months after the intercooler was installed.
