So I'm just curious as to how much it would cost to get a supercharger put on my Grand Prix GT. I know costs can vary on where and who u'd get this from but Im just wondering if neone here has done it and what all they needed for it. I am guessing around 1,000 dollars but I could be way off it could be more or it could be less. I have no idea if i'd need a new tranny or not. I guess if i have to ask i shouldnt do it but i guess its more of just a curiousity more then nething and it pry wont happen but if the prices are reasonable i may look into it.

Contact Ed Morad and tell him you're interested in doing a top swap. He'll have everything you'll need and he'll give you a price for the complete kit. Ed's contact info can be found in the FAQ sticky.

If it's been done to a GP, we have someone here who has done it. I think there are 4 top swaps, 1 N/A build (used to be, now its a top swap), 1 CSC, 1 turboed, and 1 engine swap.
Last I checked, $1k was a good ballpark for all the stuff needed. That's with you doing the labor.

Yeah, 2fast's friend. However, he might not be much help in figuring things out. He bought it already built, so he lacks the hands-on-experience of what was involved.

ssm90 than you can slowly buy the parts and just bolt them on i think it was around 800 for all the parts from ed i could be wrong though but then you still have to buy all your gaskets and such

and yes, the GTP's had a diff tranny. 65 where as the GTs and SE's were 60. i believe they have different ratios. its not a necessity for the build but you will probobly want to upgrade it as well so you don't encounter a rebuild.

I would set aside about 1200 bucks or so. That should include everything. I think it cost me about 1k. but i searched around for about 6 months in the club gp classifieds

97 was a year of transition for the GP's. Some had an antenna mast, some had the antenna in the rear window. Some had prop rods for the hood, some had struts for the hood.
