I orginally had my dash painted with a clear coat, well i sanded that down completley and applied 3 coats of silver (same color as my car) paint. I think it adds a nice look to the interior.

looks a lot like the Daytona Pace car dash...I'd do the shifter surround as well. Give it shot of clearcoat to fight the finger smudges and oils.

Actually first one I've seen that I actually like. How does it hold up to nicks and scratches? Not that that happens alot.

It holds up fairly well to knicks and scratches although im going to keep that extra spray can around just in case it ever needs an extra coat....i am going to think about extra protectant like a clear coat but I think itll have to wait till i have the cash. I had to buy sandpaper aswell and some prep pads that they sold. Could I wax it or polish it to protect it for the time being with the Meguigers polish or wax or would that harm the paint? Its duplicolor paint..

if you wax it you would have to use wax and greease remover before you paint again

Damn. Did you read my mind or something? I was totally thinking about that last April. I hate mess it up so I rather not do that until I saw you picture. It looks sweet but I hate to copy you. BUT it was my idea on April so I'm first lol

I'm only doing those 2 peices, dash and shifter area, anymore and i'd say it'd be riced. It looks good with just the dash and shifter area painted. I'll get pics later after i get done putting in new mount and using a die to clean up the threads that hold the mount down.
