when im driving the temp is stable if i sit long i see it go up until i have a chance to get moving i know the water pump is good but i never hear the fans kick on could the relays be bad or is this normal. what temp does the fans supposed to kick on. any help will be greatly appreciated

nope 195* is the stock t-stat. Fans turn on around 220ish I believe chevyman says its 222.

Sounds like a fan issue. Check fuses and relays first.

sweet, i just got this car like 2 weeks ago its in aswesome shape and and i wanted to upgrade a few parts on it its just an SE but i saw there is a turbo kit for i wanted the GTP but the price was way to high do have any up grade ideas to pull a little more power before i go the turbo route

Since you have an 02 SE Iirc that's the 3100. If so there really isn't much out there for it.

Like you say, the 3.1 can be turboed easily, however it will not be cheap.

thanks alot for the support, yeah i figured it would not be cheap at all ive been looking into parts for it and customizing is my way but thats cool im still working on another project on the import side of the tracks. thanks i will look into them relays and check the fan too with a little time and income tax that car is gonna get a needed face lift and bolt on goodies LOL
