Hey guys i just bought a zzp 1.0 pcm from a guy and retarded me didnt think to ask what year it was outa so i bought it had my battery out actually just did intake gaskets and when i hooked the battery back up the fans turned on they keys werent in the ignition and for the hell of it i tried to start it and it turned over but no fire looked a lil further into and the fuel pump wasnt runnin put the stock pcm back in runs great so the 2 questions i need answered are will the 2001 pcm work in my 97 and did i skip anything i needed to do on the install or is there anything i can do to make it work i heard something about a piece that needs to be replaced on the zzp pcm with a piece from my stock pcm any info would be useful thanks

I don't think it will. '97s and '03s are the oddballs of our generation. Usually if there is a rule, they're the exception. I'll let someone else chime in for a second opinion.

I to believe 97 was an oddball year if I rememver right. If im correct I believe the 97 had its own tune

97s are unique. That 01 PCM isnt worth anything to you other then as a core replacement.

iirc the only PCMs that are swappable are 98-02.
