I think the K&N or the Wizair are the two most complete kits on the market...they are pricey compared to a DIY pvc set up but they are very complete and are a true bolt in.
I tried a home built set up first and a modded stock airbox but unfortunately our cars have a throttle body with a very large intake diameter, so most of the aftermarket universal kits out there wont fit without reducing the tube size down. I finally went with the K&N kit which I got off eBay for a bargain price...I bolted it in and was immediately gratified with a full throttle roar that paled both previous set ups I had on the car...your money and your choice but if I had just bought the K&N to begin with I would have spent less overall...good luck! thumbsup (you gonna love that blower whine...it just screams "beware the pressure fed beast!")...go to the everything else section and listen to the TMS vid that KevGTP did and listen to his car screaming around the track.

> If you want a professional look with the best performance, wizaired is it hands down.
> If you don't care about looks, and have some skill, make one yourself, hands down.
> A decent home-made setup is just as good as a wizaired would be. Either way you'll want the K&N cone filter as a part of your intake.
>Avoid "open cone" / "hot air" intakes.

I don't know if I can qualify Wizaird as an intake with a "professional look."

I know if performs great but honestly, I think it looks kinda trashy. And that's just my opinion, don't take it the wrong way.

-For performance AND looks, either make a nice fender-well intake or buy a K&N

-For performance at the cost of the engine bay looking like the intake is coated in tin foil, get the Wizaired

?But in all honesty, one could make a VERY good intake set-up for less than half the price of either of those set-ups.

I've got a 9" cone that I built a box around it and have been very happy with it.
A couple of weeks ago I decided to remove the box and just run an open cone.
The box I built around the cone must have been some what restrictive because I really do have more power now and I'm really thinking about leaving the box off for good and staying with the open cone.
And not to mention my blower whine is a whole lot louder.

Well I would choose either the K&N Intake or the JMB FWI the two best choices for performance and looks IMHO,while you can build a reasonably efficiant homemade CAI or FWI most look too getto for my likes and please stay away from those cardboard tinfoil CAI boxes we're not cooking a turkey.Chico(pops)

well when i buy the K&N CAI, it comes with the CPU bracket, correct? so all i have to do is disconnect it from the stock air box and just install is on the K&N kit?
