Sorry all you dial-up people.....

What a morning. I was out riding yesterday so I borrowed my friend's Ranger because my Yamaha won't fit in the GP's trunk. This morning I awake and my car is in my driveway. It was dropped off here by a flatbed. My friend was driving and said it just stopped. This is why it stopped:

My wheel is completely caved in and it looks to be the CV joint or wheel bearing. If I had more time to figure it out, I'd take care of it. But I really need my car back so it's being towed to a shop tomorrow.
What should I expect for a price tag on this? With and without the wheel damage? I can live with some of it......

Hey there. At first it looked like it might be that the brake caliper came loose and chewed up the wheel (seen that one before). If it is a wheel bearing, should be fairly cheap and easy (never changed on the the GTP, but I have on other FWD cars and it's not too bad, usually....)

The real question is: what was his 1/4 mile time when he did this? wink

Hey, what color is your F2?

My car is completely stock except for a drop in K&N filter (which I don't really consider a mod).

My F2 isn't exactly one color. It's a salvage title that's been repainted 2 times so it has some original, some darker, and some lighter shades of red. Very interesting, it has 20k miles and it's still running strong....

Thank God......you're all wrong....including me.

I had a free tow from my father's friend and a $40 caliper bolt brings the grand total to: $40.00

What a bargain. They even installed the stupid fuel filter that I couldn't get off.

I'm left with a nasty looking wheel. That should change. I'm gonna try to de-burr it and polish it up. I'll keep ya posted.
