Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off the daytime running lights? I have a 96 Suburban and they just stopped working on that. I was hoping that would happen with my GP, but so far no such luck.

Or you can just pull the fuse in the fuse box....Think it's a 10 amp...look on the diagram on the panel for the fuse box...It should say DRL....Just pull that fuse and presto......that's how I did mine.

Why would you want to turn off the DTRL? It has been proven to help avoid accidents. Even on the Dreaded red cars!

I just don't like DRL's. If I want my lights on, I'll turn them on. If I want them off, I want to be able to turn them off. Don't like the auto on's either. I guess it's a control thing with me.

Same here. It just looks better driving down the road at dusk with your fogs and corners on...Thats why I took out the fuse for the DRL's....

can't you turn the dial half way between two settings and the lights will go out. that's the thing i hate about the auto lights is, not being able to turn them off. somebody though on here said something about that one time. now that i think about it, it turns the headlights off i think and the corners stay on. i didn't want to disable the drl's and lose the auto lights though, but the drl's don't bother me really, i can't see them

I used to hate the autolights also... till I sold my GM got a Dodge had the Dodge for 1 year and could not stand turning the lights on manually. The I sold my dodge and got another GM -- LOVE THE AUTOLIGHTS And my DTRL are just the Yellow lower lights above the foggers. Kinda like the Vette/TA and Camero. Are the 97-03 the headlights?
