Man, this sucks. I've been bartering with this guy on clubgp for like a month for some new rims. He finaly gives in and will let me have them for a good price.

But now some stuff has come up, and I don't know if I can really afford them. I mean, I CAN, but money will be tight. I hate this. Grrr!

Basically $200 plus shipping and I can have the wheels of my dreams.

Holy crap. Do they come with tires?? I've seen some of the discussion, he also wants to trade for your stock rims right? Those wheels he's got are way too badass to pass up for ~$300. Ever since I got my car, money's been tight smile

I say go for it, no regrets devilgrin

The sexyness level of your car will skyrocket!! Although it looks pretty dang good as is!

For that price you have to get them.
Those are some nice looking wheels.

I know. frown They were over $2k new. They stopped making these rims, so it's probably the only chance I'll ever get to buy these.

Wheels will improve the look of the car soo much, and for that price I don't think it's a matter of "should I get them", but more of "I should get them".

Definetly get them. I don't understand why the price is so low.

Me neither. It's making me a little leary. I'm definitely requesting photos first, but I'm trying to get the guy to send me his rims first. I don't want to get screwed.

I think the deal is good because the other guy with these rims has been trying to sell his for almost 4 months, and nobody can afford them. This newer guy says his girlfriend needs the cash.

It's really not THAT cheap when you consider he's getting my tstars with BRAND NEW tires on them plus $200 in cash. I mean, it's still a great deal for me, but it's not so cheap that it screams "rip off". At least I hope not.

I say get them for that price! Make sure they are in good shape, dont wanna get them and find out hes done a few curb checks with them! Have him send them first then paypal the money over... is he paying for shipping of your old rims or is that all on you?

We are still working out the details. I think I am paying to ship my stockers, and he's paying to ship his wheels and tires. We don't know how this will work since the GP is my only car and the GP is his girlfriend's only car. One of us will be without wheels for 2 weeks. That's why I suggested to him, that we both send them at the same time. Then we are both only out for 1 week.

Oh I forgot to add that he's sending a 5th tire that has never been used.

My wife didn't bite on my initial sales pitch. But I got another bonus at work today, so that might push her over the edge. wink

Man, I want these. frown

sometimes you just gotta say "damn the torpedoes" and jump on a deal when it comes along...I'm squeezing myself pretty hard right now getting together money for the tires to put on the wheels I just ordered...plus I still want to do another run of shirts which means I gotta hit the overtime a little harder (sleep deprivation is such fun)...I wish I could have found a similar deal on a wheel/tire package...if you have to pay 3x that much later you'll be kicking yourself in the butt...this is one more reason I am so glad that my wife doesnt make those decisions...as long as I pay my bills then its my baby...(thank Heavens for such a good woman!)
