Most of us use nothing for the PCM. A few use a PCM tray but...

Agreed.
While I was running an open cone, my PCM just sat there unsecured. It was fine.

same here, just leave it sit. i set a piece of carpet padding underneath it to prevent vibrations and/or false KR, but you probably shouldn't have to worry about it.

so I can just put like a piece of carpet on it and over it and have it sandwitched with like a tie wrap or two. My dad was saying it might fall out. lol what should I tell him to shut him up?

No need to cover it, just put a piece under it so it won't rattle, if you want. As posted above many have done nothing, no padding under it, no tie downs, no nothing and have had success. Secure it all you want to give yourself piece of mind, but always remember... it ain't goin' anywhere.

Yeah.
The wiring harness holds it in place really good.
If you're that worried about water, which you shouldn't be, then put plastic around it.
If you're worried about noise/vibrations, slide a piece of foam or carpet underneath it where it sits.
If you're worried about falling out, then tie it down somehow. Be creative.

Or, you can buy the PCM tray for $15 and be done with it. It looks cleaner and it will hold it snug. You just use the 3 self tapping screws that come with the tray and voila.

Well im done, its in was a peice of cake. Really seemed to improve throttle response as well. I just tie wrapped it to the radiator bracket and against the coolant bottle. It aint goin no where. I love the sucking sound too it pimp. Next up SLP exhaust, dynomax max exhaust, or entier flowmaster exhaust not sure yet. THen the CPU< then the pulley. lol.

FYI the exhaust won't do anything except change the sound. It won't make you any faster.

It will give me a few more horses, better air flow and less restriction. Remember i am stock. I still have the U bend and everything. Everyone knows a new exhaust will give a lil bit more power no more then like 4 horses.

Just put in a new Downpipe, the rest of the exaughst will only change sound, not performance, the downpipe will put in a high flow cat and U-bend delete, plus its a bolt on mod!

A Catback exhaust will not net any gains in the ole Butt dyno. The only noticable gains from exhaust mods are a DP and improved mani's/headers.

Yeah, what Herc said. It's the exhaust "up stream" that is restrictive. Cat backs aren't worth it IMO.

Three things GM did right on our cars are:
1) Exhaust (from the cat back only)
2) Ignition system (coils & wires)
3) Lightest wheels available (torque star's, 16lbs)

There may be more, but those three come to mind at the moment.
You really can't improve on those.
