Do I blame the 91* weather and humidity?
Do I blame myself for poor launching?
Do I blame the boost gauge line that comes out mid-pass and bleeds 8lbs of boost into the atmosphere?

My first run I rab a 14.388, a personal best. But now I can't find the slip.

Every run after that was either a really high 14 or a mid 15.

...

WTF!?

Wait until season end before you go again, let the air cool down. I hope my ride is 100% before then. I want to see it make a fast pass.

Having a vac leak wouldn't cause you to lose all your boost. 95% of it is still inside the intake manifold.

It can cause adverse timing and fuel effects though. If the boost line blows, your map is reading atmospheric pressure as well as your FPR.

I beg to differ. I my boost selenoid (or something) was not hooked up so it was realeasing boost, and I was only making half boost, like 3-4 lbs. Hooked it back up when I figured out what it was, and it turned it into an entirely different car.

ILGTP didn't come and I left by 7:30 it was so awful.

I'm not tuned except for the PCM ZZP sent me.

I saw a MAX of 4* of KR around launch and then nothing above 1* afterwards and that was only during shifts.

The top-end is SOOOOO much cooler now with the pulley and headers. It's like at 5k, it just throws your head into the headrest. I'm so surprised that I was running as poorly as I was, I thought I was doing very well.

MY launches were bad though, 2.45 60' was my best launch.

LTFTs were locking in at -2.3 through the 1/8 mile, then went to -4.7 in the last 1/8 but again, that may have been the run I blew the boost line out.

Also, my front O2 isn't reading properly anymore, I deffinately need a new one. Sadly, it's going to be a real PITA with those headers.

Uh... that sensor is only there for torque management, and as a safety feature, if the PCM isn't getting input from that sensor, it limits your boost... whole different thing than a vacuum leak.

ummm. you cant blame anything but your launches. a 2.4 60' time is bad.

so bad launching+vacuum leak+hot weather.

did you really expect good times?

wow, yeah i didn't catch that the first time I read through. That's a horrible 60' time (no offense)

You need to drop your tire pressure and that should help you hook better.

I thought about it but I couldn't find my tire pressure gauge and I wasn't there with anybody I knew either.

MY tires also have about 1/4 of tread left on them as well. Time for me to put those new tires on.
