I tried to find a wire to splice into on the factory deck, but the one i found turns the amp on when i turn the car off... dont know why but it does.
Anyone know which brake wire i could splice into? Or something else easy like that?

Brake wire? Man, you need to be splicing into a ignition switched wire if you don't have a remote wire from the head unit.

If the amp goes on when the car goes off, then I imagine your wired to the power that keeps the time & settings for the stereo. You need to find the wire that only gives 12 volts when the ignition is on. I don't know the colors of the factory stereo harness. Maybe someone else can help with that. Stay away from any wires that have anything to do with the brakes! Otherwise you may have to turn off the stereo to stop the car.

all you need to do is pull the factory deck out and take a test light to the wires and see witch one turns on and off with the deck that all

You could go to your fuse panel like this person did. I know my car has a amp fuse that is not used Or you could use the Power Drop Harness that is is behind the glove compartment. http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m=...ode=&s=#3944770

Here try this:
| RADIO 12V|orange |+ |at radio | | RADIO GROUND| | | | | RADIO SWITCH|yellow |+ |at radio | | RADIO ILLUMINATE| | | | | POWER ANTENNA|dk. green | |at radio | | LF SPEAKER|tan - gray | |at radio or LF speaker | | RF SPEAKER|lt. grn - dk. grn | |at radio or RF speaker | | LR SPEAKER|brown - yellow | |at radio or LR speaker | | RR SPEAKER|dk. blu - lt. blu | |at radio or RR speaker |
Use the test light or a meter to test the wires. You need to check the red, orange, or yellows for a switched source. Try the yellow wire. When key is off, no light on or reading. When key is on light is on and around 12 volts should be present on the meter display.
OR use the PowerDrop harness behind the glove compartment. Do a search on here for PowerDrop and you'll find pics and all.

If you use the powerdrop, the amp will not work in ACC mode, only in run mode.
