Well I went in my car today to look for my batteries for my portable cd player and my mirror was hanging down from the onstar wire clip thing.
The plastic piece doesn't stick back on to the windsheild. I think the heat was the reason it fail.
What can I use to put the mirror back up on the windshield.

My metal piece would fall down. I wedged a dowl between the console and the metal for the glue to setup. My mirror has fallen 3 or 4 times. And the metal piece alone fell twice!

Well I did what the kit told me to do which was to use the little towelette to wipe the metal part and the windshield spot off, then I that glue and place it on metal part and I placed it on the winsheild with the tape on the bottom of the metal part and let it sit overnight.
I haven't check it yet but I will be putting on the mirror tonight so I will let ya'll know how it came out.

I say leave it for 3 days, and try not to leave it in direct sunlight.
You need pressure, wedge a stick in there. I actually used gorrila glue the last time I did it. Mine fell off many times.

Weird, I definitely didn't follow the instructions and mine has lasted well over a year. I cleaned the windshield and attached the tab with the mirror still on, and held it for a few minutes til I thought the epoxy had set up. Thats it. Not even the super-strength version, just normal walmart mirror epoxy.
