I just finished installing my very first mod on my 2001 GTP; a WizAired CAI w/K&N. The next thing I want to get is a ZZP catted down pipe. Should I get the 2.5" or 3" version? My car has an unknown aftermarket 2.5" cat-back that was on the car when I bought it. I plan on getting colder plugs, an overkill PCM, some sort of scanner, and dropping to a 3.4" pulley in the future. I'm leaning towards the 3"...

3" for sure with the mods you plan. Don't forget a 180 T-stat.

Thanks. Already got a drilled 180* stat that I'm going to be installing when I flush my radiator this weekend.

if you only plan on doing a 3.4 pulley then plog and a 3" dp will be fine.
headers come with their own downpipe so the 3" dp you buy you won't be able to use.

You should definitely get the 3in. Ive already ordered mine and I should have it on Tuesday.
But Ive heard of people having to put header wrap on the zzp flex section because it whistled. How often does this occur? Should I wrap mine before I install it

Only thing I'll add in is flip your sway bar. That's where you'll end up with clearance issues. What happens is it may look like it's far enough away but when you get on the throttle and the engine rocks it smacks the DP against the sway bar and in turn induces false KR. even the stock sway bar? And what do you think about wrapping the downpipe
