so i got my kit today.

9007 obviously and i have an issue?

The damn things don't want to turn on!!

Any suggestions ? Its connected as it says (coloured wires) and yeah.

Make sure the connectors from the bulb plugs to the ballast match up + and -... i know it sounds simple but ive seen 2 many ppl make that mistake and they wont turn on, but once they switch plug around they work.

well the way this is you can't mess up putting them in the wrong socket. its not possible lol.

Would disabling the DRLs first than doing the conversion work?

I"m really upset that they're not working !

Did you put your fingers all over the bulbs?

Are the ballasts making any noise when you turn the headlight switch on?

Check the fuse.


HIDs seem to be the hardest thing on this board.

i did NOT touch the bulb i made sure of that

the ballasts are not making a noise that i can hear ? i didn't really listen.

Which fuse ? I'm going to disable the DRL's and start the car for a minute and than hook em up and see how it goes i guess.

The ballasts should make a high pitched sound.


I don't know what fuse it is. Just look at the diagram on the back of the panel.

First off disable the DRLs. Thats a no no with HIDs unless you have the relay harness. Also disable the flashing headlight feature as well once you get them working. That can kill the ballasts. Try flipping the connections to the ballasts 180 degrees and see if that works.

DRLS are no more =)

Its snowing mad here and its 12 am lol so i'll work on this tomorrow but .. Guz by flipping the connections 180 degrees what exactly do you mean by that.

And ordonez, if the ballasts dont make the noise does that mean they're defective or there is a connection problem?

Chance of both ballasts being bad are slim.

Do you have a wiring harness for them? That's what I was told my problem was - the stock wires don't carry enough power to power them.

really .. that's ridiculous. Well the kit i have has the stock wire plug into the HID one , so if the harness is needed than wtf.
