The other day my key FOB stopped working! I have no idea why. One minute I was using it, the next.....nothing. I have tried replacing the battery & tried the re-program sequence. Neither did a thing. Any other ideas??

Buy another one: grand prix key fobs

Get one of the flip out/switchblade ones! I have been dying to do it.

did you get one that matched your model of your last one? you have to make sure that the one you try has the same model and whatever else numbers on the back of it as the one that broke!

also, did your car recognize it the new one when programming it?

my first fob quit working and i made the mistake of getting the wrong one because it looked the same, so i had to get the right one which worked fine.

Yep the numbers on the back matched my current FOB. When I went through the relearn sequence & got to the "open & close door, car will chime to show it enters program mode" it does not chime.
Sounds like the key FOB itself may not be the problem. If so, what should I look at next?
