My car will accelerate by itself, no joke. It will want to keep accelerating even If im braking, this is happening maybe 30% of the driving time, so while I brake its still trying to accelerate, even at idle. Im basically brake torquing it the whole time. So Ill slip it into nuetral then it revvs up to 4k RPM's... after about 5 seconds it will drop quickly to 600 RPM's with the lights dimming. Then all back to normal

No the pedal isnt stuck.

No Im not crazy.

And I wont be able to access my PT until tomarrow, and theres no SES light

Something sticking? Check your pedal, throttle cable, etc.

Could be a faulty TPS, or problems in that wiring harness..I've run across bad sensors that never set a code, and some codes don't trip the SES light.

Also learned that the IAC valve could be dirty to cause this. Not sure which of things on the TB is the IAC valve.

Blackarrow, care to elaborate on an IAC valve pic? wink

I went out and cleaned the IAC valve, also checked for codes. No DTC's present and it seemed to idle bit nicer now.

Now for the 4th gear TC unlock/lock issue, that may be the TPS
