I have a 96 GP SE and for some reason the trunk is stuck. The key will turn and sometimes when I press the yellow button or the one on the remote you can hear the sound of the trunk popping, but it refuses to open. I'm not positive if forcing it open is a great idea which is why I came to here and wanted to ask if anyone could help out on this one.

try pushing down in the truck and see if the latch will release.

My trunk finally gave up being a douche and opened, thanks to the one person who gave a suggestion and now disregard this issue.

Does your car have a access panel through the rear seat. If so, maybe next time you could have a kid or something crawl in there and maybe pull the cord to open it if it has one or something. for the many years I have been on here, I don't recall that many people saying their trunks are stuck.

Glad you got it open though. Maybe spray it down real good with some sort of lubricant!
