I dont know what it is called but the thing that coneects to the wheel hub, it has like a rubber spring like for the shocks the bumper, well i noticed a bunch of like thick oil, and its all over the wheel, well the rubber spring has a hole in it, i guess i made it while i changed the wheel hub, should i just leave it or fix?

do you guys know what kind of oil it is i guess ill put some oil back in, then ill glue it back on or something like that

that thick oil is called grease, sorry guys i need to learn more english

It is a basic lube grease that you can get at the parts store. You can use green grease.

ok i think i fix it, i went to buy some tube patch, and saw some sticks that you can jam in the whole, so i bought came home end jammed it in there, threw some rubber cement in there, and is just sitting there waiting to dry, oh yeah and i put grease in there, with an a needle the ones u use to put juice in the turkey, so hopefully this works or its going to the mechanic

Did he tear up the boot on the half shaft.

the boot, i made a 1/16in of a whole in it some how and all the grease leaked out

is that cuz theres none left to leak out...Im gonna bet the fix is temp....cus after a little driving its probably gonna open up again.

if it is the boot over your CV joint then its best to replace it...I've seen the type that come in two halves that you can put on without pulling the half shaft...but having it replaced is the best option.

redgie i put more in, almost a whole botle of grease went in there, thunderbat how will the one that comes in two pieces stay together, hopefully its not temporary, since im a cheap bastard for things that i cant see or feel a diffrence on my car.
