Friend of mine just bought some shorter dog bones because he lowered his ride and thought that would help. It did some but his TOGS now hit the radiator. So he says he has to shime under the eninge now.

its what hold the motor to the front of the car.... so 20gtp you said they dont work with togs how can that be possible?? so is there no real way of removing the vibration... i dont think i have it expect when going up little hills i get a vibration when acceralting so im thinking thats what it is....

He is just having issues after lowering his ride. He has 20"s on it also. Just telling you what he is doing. I am selling those mounts but I did do the 90* stock rotation on the stock mounts a week ago. Have you done that? I am not sure what you are looking for out of mounts or vibrations???

well i have lowered the car changed the mounts and i just want to stiffen up the motor to get more power and less play....and i keep hearing negative reviews on the poly and then i found these and they seem to be the 2 way to go then poly

I think it will be stiff as a rock but I don't see any problems regarding proximity of parts in the engine compartment.

Re: shorter dog bones - 05/12/07 08:07 PM

what do you mean?? using both of them or just the dog bones?? correct me if i am wrong but is stiff good for the engine?

Using both I meant. And I don't know if it's good or bad for the engine. Sorry.

Well one thing the stiffer poly mount will do save some wear and tear on your lower motor and trans. mounts as far as being detrimental to the engine no they should'nt be,hotrodders have been using solid motor mounts for years if you do'nt mind fealing the engine vibration go for it.Chico.

Re: shorter dog bones - 05/17/07 03:14 PM

well i installed the dog bones today. it moved the motor about an inch or so forward. so far it seems to imporve the shifting of the car... also the motor hardly moves when u push on the car

so im thinking that if i get the poly motor mounts it wouldnt create what some have said about the vibration...
