Doesn't run but looks good (56k) - 04/07/10 10:23 PM

Well, these will be the last pics for a little while. Car can't move anywhere on it's own power.

I am looking into some different options engine wise. Looking into a tangential GT-45. Will have to do some crossover and downpipe modifying for them to work. Anyways, I thought these pics made it look good. Wheel gap is a bit bigger than normal cause it's parked in a rut but it slams the bumper on the ground so w.e hah. Hopefully when I do my coilovers I will ahve the bumper that low on pavement with no wheel gap!! smile The passenger side is laying on the ground, I couldn't fit my hand between it and the ground under the foglight. Oh, and I love the new lights, they look sexy and are extremely bright on the ground and not in peoples eyes like my old Hella's.

Also fixed my bumper (screwed a piece of wood into the bumper under the headlight to fix the bow that was in it from a previous accident I assume) and put some cardboard and wood shims under the bumper skin to fill the gap.

I have some wheel spacers I am going to put on the rear to push the rear wheels out flush with the fenders, just need to put in the longer studs. I may have the spacers machined down a little as they are pretty thick, might stick them out too far. I need to roll the fenders first.

Looking good, what size wheel studs are you going to put on the rear?

I don't remember off the top of my head. They are the longer Dorman studs. I got them off of Rockauto last year.

I see, I just picked up some 41.5mm ones but I was looking to go a little bigger.

I love how you added that extra piece of grill to the air dam.

I wonder if you could make it functional as a brake cooler. Not that it would matter on a car that doesn't do any twisties, but it would be cool.

Yea i love the air dam too. I'm not too sure how functional it would be, not that I even need it. I am getting GXP brakes eventually so that will be all I need for braking.

Zalfrin, I know lol. I need paint and body work so bad. I am hoping with my school money next year I should have enough to paint it. It is in very bad shape. Below the gas door is completely rusted through about 5 inches wide, all my fender wells have the paint flaked off and even the fenders themselves are starting to flake off as you can see above the front driver side wheel where the bumper meets the fender.

When I have it painted I will have the hood done and SLP spoiler on as well.

I'm sorry but the closer i see those air dams the less I like them. Further away pics look nice with it but the ones I've seen close do not look good at all...

I think they offer a nice change in appearance to the front end, no matter if viewed from close, or far away. I like those subtle changes:D

haha, do you mean the SD lip doesn't look good up close or the whole car?

I like the SD air dam but hate how bad the body of my car is. I will someday have the dents fixed and have it all repainted black w/ red metallic flake. I am hoping by the end of the summer or early next spring but I will have to see how the cash flows.

I have been waiting to paint it till I have all the motor work done so I don't have to lean over and scratch the bumper and fenders when doing things on it. But then I started going back to school so money isn't what it used to be.
