Took it out for a drive. I didn't feel a difference really. But my mom did drive it earlier this week and filled it up with REGULAR gas.... mad

I've been told that you need to reprogram your PCM after you get a powerlog. You need to skew the front bank of injectors or they will run lean. This will actually create KR and make you LOSE power.

I believe the person who told me this, shared an email from zoomer at zzp himself.

So you might want to try getting someone to program your PCM.

I actually asked Turbo Tim at ZZP about changing anything and he said nothing is needed. But I have a feeling there might need to be something changing or tuned.

Email from ZZP: "They will not require any special tuning that the car shouldn’t have anyway. All 3800 cars run hotter on the front banks than the rears. No worries. wink "

Thanks for the info. I will be sure to pass that along to the guy who told me.

Sorry for helping to spread false information.

Re: Header On! - 03/08/07 04:45 PM

I always thought that the front banks had problems with knock compared to the rear bank. People seem to always chip piston #3. Making the front bank easier to shoot out exhaust helps alleviate the problem and equalize the banks.

Looks good and that C.C. is nice just keep an Eye on the primarie welds there have been a few problems, you may want to get the ported rear next as there are a few restrictions not as bad as the front but still,as far as tuning it's not really necessary but any car could benefit from a good dyno tune .Chico.
