DHP v1.5 bin for 2000gtp - 06/08/07 02:29 PM

Any one have the DHP 1.5v file? my DHP is the old locked v1.0 and DHP is giving me a hard time about sending it to me. I freakin paid well over $300 for that PCM when they 1st came out. They least they could do is send me the file!

I would like to update the code to 1.5 and remove the rear o2 codes smile that way i dont have to worry about the 02 sim commin back from warranty replacemnt at easy performance.

thanks

Find a PT user in your area and have them flash your car. It'll be the easiest way, but like most people, DHP is there to collect the money... not give out freebies (despite your investment).

He works just down the street from me downtown.

Powrtuner owners can't even obtain the 1.5 file unless they originally licensed their PT for that specific car. I can't get it. You need to find somebody with the same car and a powrtuner, and see if they'll send the bin.
Just don't break any DHP rules wink

Also, I did a little research into what the 1.5 file actually has changed. Its not much, just the very basic stuff such as torque management, shift points, transmission line pressure, traction control, security, and a few other things. Not a whole lot related to engine performance. Its meant as a starter file that you can start tuning right away with (VE, MAF, and wot tunes).

the way i see it you have two options... pull the DHP pcm you have and send it to DHP and have them update the codes you want removed, or just take a lot of scans with someone who has a scanner.

with enough data, and someone with experience, they can try to mimic and reverse engineer the tune from the DHP PCM. as long as you have similar spark tables and get your trany settings close, a normal tune to get the fuel trims in balance will be much better then the drop in DHP pcm IMO.

I have the 1.5 file that DHP just sent me, but it's for a 2002 GTP - I don't know if that helps you at all or matters . . . .

That'll work. Just gotta double check a few things before using it.
