ZZP Lowering Springs - 04/30/12 04:27 PM

Hello!

So I'm thinking of lowering my GTP with ZZP lowering springs. How bad does the ride get and does it improve handling at all? I mostly want it for cosmetics, does anyone have complaints with theirs?

i have their springs on my monte carlo and i have no complaints at all. make sure to buy the anti pogo washers so that youre not bouncing all over the place, when hitting a bump.

While they do make the car look better you may want to think about where you typically drive and park. You may find yourself bottoming out alot more often then you care for. Also the ride is stiffened up quite a bit as well.

I have whatever Tbat was running back in the day (SSC?). Even with anti-pogo washers it still likes to bounce some. A lot of it is dependent on the struts used.

Well i live in Chicago, the streets are pretty harsh. The springs only lower the car 1.2 inches so i dont think i'll bottom out. ( hopefully not) I have newer stock struts right now so i think i should be good. I'll get the anti pogo washers and ZZP also recommends shorter dog bones which i think ill get as well. DO you guys notice any improvement in handling? And is the ride still pretty good?

1.2 inches lower and I would drag my front end getting into my driveway.

Gotta learn to swing in from the side Herc. wink Don't just drive straight in, get up besides it and make a sharp left or right into the driveway. Starts angling the chassis so it can clear sharper elevations.

Kinda hard when my drive is sandwhiched between mailboxes and cars on the street. No choice but straight in.
