i bought chris's a-pillar gauge pod about a month ago and am finally getting around to putting it in. i started to take a look at it, and i really dont know the proper way to take the factory pillar off. i gave it a few good pulls...i don't wanna break anything though.

anyone ever do this have any tips?
thanks fellas.

I thought (I'm probably wrong)that they were held in with double sided tape over the existing A pillar trim.

i pulled on it pretty hard and unless they used the strongest doublesided tape i've ever seen in my life, there must be something else...
anyone?

thanks,
bill

I think what Herc is saying is that you just use double sided tape to put the gauge pod a-pillar on top of the existing factory pillar. ie, you don't remove the factory pillar.

The factory a-pillar covers have the "see everywhere" clips. Plastic tab with metal clip that attaches to the body. Start up top and pry gently but firmly.

The first clip is about 3 inches from the top so if you want to use a screwdriver to reach behind to avoid prying the actual plastic that is the place.

i need to find a boost gauge for it, to have when i get the m90 conversion thingy done.
problem is, all the boost gauges i see have a range up to 30, and that makes my 0-6 range that i'll be seeing hard to see.
anybody know of some good gauges that are up to 10 or 15 psi?

Maybe I missed it, but what gauges you using?

I know they make them to 20.
