With a code scanner? and driving slow will set everything else to where it needs to be?

No, with a scan tool. You need to be able to monitor knock retard (KR). For in-car monitoring, aeroforce interceptor gauge is the recommended solution. For logging and tuning, HPTuner or the now defunct DHP Powrtuner.

You always need to tune. But scanning comes first.

X2 before you drop pulleys.

A custom tune is the way to go. Hook up with a local member who has a tuner.

Highly recommend the Aeroforce scan guage if you plan on modding beyond what you have done already.

Would a tune be comparable to a tuned pcm from zzp? and is anyone in the New jersey area with a tuner that can help me out?

The ZZP tune is a start but nothing beats a custom tune.
