Wow, at 63? That is pretty young!

Off topic:
I always had a problem with the show as their project management was horrible. They always had little time to do something. I don't believe it is "the nature of the beast/business". I wouldn't want to have them do work if they felt they had to rush it.

I didn't know anything about him prior to the show. Didn't know he was a legend in the business. Still suprised and sad to see someone die THAT young.

Sometimes I wonder how much of that show was sensationalized for the sake of TV...as if the network wanted as much crap as possible trying to make it like "American Chopper"

All of that aside there is no denying that Boyd was a legend in the hot rod community. Many of the cars he created have become the standards by which other are judged especially where the 32 roadster is concerned. I personally still love CadZZilla as one of my all time favorite customs.

Cruise the Heavens Boyd, you will surely be missed here.

i talked to some ppl at work about all of this and they said they met him in real life... some was good and some wasnt so good .... but the bald shop mgr ... they said he was a real dick in person ... well there goes the price of his cars ... prolly doubbled in price
