I was wondering those of you who are NA and put either an open cone or a CAI on experienced a gain in MPG? I know I did with my L67 and have been toying with the idea of making one for my truck.

What do you guys think? Think I'll notice any difference or not. The truck is a 98 Silverado with the 5.7L 2wd.

Yes, it works. I noticed at least 2mpg with my 3100 and my Stratus is about to get a cone intake, so we'll find out with it as well.

my car always sucked on gas before a tune.

it still sucks now that i have the blower, but not as bad. It wont hurt mileage if you can keep your foot out of it.

I have been toying with the idea of an open cone k&n, last time i changed the stock filter i noticed alot of (Crap) in the filter box, on one hand, thats the stuff we all get thats about to go into our intake, on second thought if that box wasent there, that stuff wouldn't be sitting there waiting to get in, i have been getting very poor MPG lately and i havent done anything, within the next month i will be getting a tune...cap rotor wires and plugs....that way it will run better, ...lol Just kidding!!but im really gonna go with a new set of Acdelco wires new plugs and a cone k&n i will post any changes in MPG
