the V8 powered G8 is gonna die in the showroom with all the other big engine cars and trucks.

the malibu is nice looking ride and the 4cyl should be easy at the pump.

Nah, the sporty V8s will still sale, they'll just become weekend warriors.

Most people, due to gas prices, will buy the base G8. GTs will sell, but not in the same numbers. People are changing their priorities in cars. To many, fuel economy is more important than the fun factor.

As far as making a 4 door sedan a weekend warrior. I think more people will pick up a used sports car for that, not a G8 GT.

It'll sell but yes the base model will far out sell it. Just look at how many V6 mustangs and going back to the Fbodies how many V6s were out there. They out number the V8s by 3 to 1.

But sheesh even the V6 puts out more HP then out stock GTPs. 290 Iirc.

Nice, you don't need the v6 malibu since you got the V8 grand prix wink . If somebody races you with the malibu and you lose, you can say "If I had my other car, I would smoke you". Too many people can't say that. lol

But overall the new malibus are a nice car, never driven one but you should be happy with your purchase.

its a new car...the clear coat really needs to cure before you think about putting any kind of wax on it.
