Well, another one of my vehicles has suffered damage without me even being in the car. I had my motorcycle, so my truck was at my house (I can't keep my bike at the apartment). My dad was taking my truck to work this morning when he hit the telephone pole at the end of my driveway.

Here's the result:



As you can see, my bumper was in tough shape already. At least my dad has friends that do body work after hours at the dealership that work for beer. Like my truck needs quality body work....

man thats a bummer, sorry to hear about it.

How do people hit telephone poles? I've never really understood...

It's the one right in front of my truck. He cut the wheel to get out of the driveway.

bryant, you are one poor hard luck soul when it comes to cars...at least they didnt total this one (that was harsh)...just dont leave your bike unattended anywhere

YOu can't imagine my paranoia when it comes to the bike. No one is allowed to touch it.

I can't say that I would have minded if the truck was totaled.

here's my loaner:

1998 Wrangler Sahara Edition. My mother works from home so it's the family loaner whenever someone is needing a car.

that doesnt look too shabby...maybe your dad should have tagged the truck back during the summer months (coulda got some use outta this topless ride)

I've been driving around with the top off. Unfortunately, I leave for work at 6am, so it's freezing this time of year. I have to put the top up and then take it down in the afternoon. It's completely worth it. It's supposed to hit 80 today, I'll have a nice ride home around 5.

All done!





My Dad's friends did the work. Replaced the light, pulled the damage, painted the fender, grinded the rust from the bumper and repainted it for $200. Not too bad. Since they did the whole bumper, it looks a lot better than before.

I would not mind having that person work on my car.

In fact, I hope that someone makes my car look that good. Very nice.
