X's 2. Wouldnt you want the chains on the back at the very least? But it looks like they're just driving on wet roads, no snow on them.

the reasoning is plain as day you leave the back wheels unchained so you can powerslide around corners and you chain the front tires so you dont lose control while "drifting".

honestly i dont know why but a couple of years ago when we had a little snow (less then an inch) one morning me and my brother saw a guy with chains on his tires at 2 in the afternoon when it had already heated back up to the high 40's and there was no snow left.

Here in Maine tire chains are illegal. When I drove to CA a couple years ago in the winter I had to mail order my chains for getting over the sierras. I didn't feel like paying the exorbanant cost they charge once you get into that area.

Chains are designed to install on the drive tires.
FWD chains go on the front tires.
RWD chains go on the rear tires.
4WD typically people put them on the front if not all 4.
