Well I took the boys to the Good Guys Car show at the Atlanta Motor Speedway today. Sorry guys no pics I forgot the camera on the table. I wasn't about to drive the hour and half back through town and back again. But anyways I walked out of there dehydrated from all my drooling. They had the cars and vendors in the infield of the raceway and as we walked in you could here cars going around the track. The Petty Driving Experience was going on and quite a distraction seeing those cars fly around that track. We had to stop and watch a few laps. Once inside we were treated to quite the variety of US cars. Only one Bug was on hand. Only two Pontiacs were represented a 69 firebird vert with an LS motor and a 67 GTO. There were a couple of Rat rods one was a tow truck. More tri 5 chevy's then I could shake a stick at. The swap paddock was full of cars and trucks for sale. There was a 95 Caprice wagon that a guy wanted 15k for!!!! Right. Saw beutiful late 40s ford walked up on it and what did I see behind the front billet wheels? RICE!!!! they put those cheap nasty chrome plated plastic wannabe cross drilled rotors to hind the stock drum brakes I mean this car had atleast 30-40K invested and they put that garbage on it . The best part of the show was watching one of Jeff Gordon's cup cars do a pull on a dyno. We saw a peak of 697hp at the wheels!!!!!! I have no clue what kind of parasitic loss those machines have but damn!!!!!!! For a full framed car you shoulda see that thing flex and twist. It wanted to jump off the dyno and get something. We were only about 10 feet from the car while it was doing it's thing and let me tell you. If you ever get the chance to witness that you have to. Man I wish I woulda had my camera.

I wish I coulda been there, unfortantley there arn't to many car shows in my area.

If gas was $2.xx a gallon. I would love to be all over these car shows!

Yah, my car on the dyno, 240whp, freaked me out. I was scared for the motor!
I can't imagine something like what you saw. I see the ones on the internet, and cringe, I can't imagine them in person.

I try to keep or put the digital in the car no matter where I go.

It's normally in the center compartment. I even stopped for batteries but little did I know my little girl took it out of the car and didn't put it back. I called the wife and she said it's on the table grrrrrr........

Hmm...there's one in Fort Worth at the beginning of October...
