Hey guys got some extra supplies laying around for anyone interested in giving their car a good detailing this summer.

For those of you who have read Arc's guide to detailing I've got 2 out of the 3 steps to Meguiar's paint detailing system; the paint cleaner and polish. Both have been used to do my car twice and there's probably enough left in each bottle to do 2 more of our cars. I've also got a bottle of Meguiar's Gold Class Wax. Used it to do my car once and there's probably enough left to do a car our size at least 4 or 5 more times. Of course these are just estimates, it all depends on the user.

I'm willing to let it all go for say $20 plus shipping. This is a great way for anyone to try out these supplies without needing to buy them new. If you don't like it then you're not stuck with a bunch of almost full bottles and you're not down a ton of money. I'd say it all retails for at least $40, I'll check next time I'm at the store. Offers accepted, thanks guys.

It really is, I'm just trying to get this stuff out of my garage and get a little money back for my Zaino order. This stuff really works great for anyone looking to make their car look great. It doesn't hide swirls and scratches as well as I would like and that's why I'm switching to Zaino. It really brings the color of the car out especially if you have a metallic finish like mine. The color will look really deep and the finish will really sparkle. I'm open to any offers on this stuff, just let me know.

Honestly I've heard great things about NXT 2.0 but it just doesn't fit what I'm trying to do. Sure it has a lot of cleaners in it and makes your paint look great, but I'm looking for something a little more like hiding swirls and fine scratches which my car has a lot of. Also with me leaving for college next year my car isn't going to get the attention it gets now and I won't be able to wax it once a month to keep it protected, so Zaino and its extremely long lasting protection make it even more attractive.

But back on topic, buy my stuff and save yourself a ton of money!!

forget zaino
done with all meguires supplies ( see below)

picts done do it justice

wash with dawn dish soap
then use a clay bar
follow up with some paint cleaner
then polish
then a little nxt
should take under 4 hours
just like zaino it will layer up after it sits atleast 12 hours and the more layers = deeper paint

with about 1/2 the work of zaino

I won't disagree with you that your car looks great after all that. The only difference is your Malibu is less than a year old while my GP is 11 years old. Although it looks great for its age, my paint is in need of a little more help than your 'Bu. Also when it comes to detailing my car I never look to cut corners or save time. Sometimes my details can stretch out for days at a time, I guess you can call me a perfectionist. laugh I'm more than willing to spend more time with the Zaino if it gives me better results.

Yea the malibu is brand new but I have tried meguairs stuff in the past and it does work but I'm also looking for stuff to get rid of swirls and little fine scratches on my car as well.

I'm not going to get in an argument with you over this but since it's providing some insight on different detailing supplies and keeping my thread up at the top, I'll continue haha.

First off that article is at least 8 years old, Zaino has changed a lot since then. You no longer need to wait 6 hours or whatever it was between coats and it has become a lot easier to apply. Not to mention the formula of each polish as well as the whole system has been improved.

Second, that test does not include longevity at all which is what Zaino is mainly known for. I can say that the only OTC wax that I've used that lasted longer than a month was FXSynWax. In fact, the shortest lasting wax I've used was Meguiar's Gold Class which is what he used in the test.

I know I shouldn't be dissing a product that I'm trying to sell but I wasn't overly impressed with Meguiar's Gold Class wax. I knew going in from other forums that it doesn't last long but within 3 weeks I could tell it was pretty much gone. Also after using the Meguiar's Paint Cleaner and Polish my paint looked great and I was expecting it to look even better after the Gold Class but instead I saw no difference. When I used FXSynWax as my 3rd step last year I saw great improvement but not with the Gold Class. The fact that he compares it to Zaino and can't see a difference between the 2 proves to me even more how far Zaino has improved in the past 8 years.

I'm not dissing you or your car, I firmly believe in the saying each person to his own. I'm not trying to convince anyone to go out and buy $100 worth of Zaino products, I'm just trying to provide facts. I'm also not one to go talking about stuff that I have no experience with. I did not buy into Zaino at first but after spending hours researching it I feel I have enough experience with it now to back it up. I will be buying myself Zaino as a graduation gift next week and I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on the results.

In the meantime... buy my stuff!

i understand it has changed a lot, but i tried it last year or the year before ( im not really sure)and was very unimpressed with zaino, being i have detailed cars for side money since i was 15 i have used about everything. im just trying to keep you from spending a lot on something you don't really need.
on another topic HAPPY GRADUATION!!!! * thumbs up*

With the interest of promoting your Meguiars products for sale....

Bought the car new in 2000, this pic was taken in 2006. I've got newer pics, but the good ones are few and far between... That and I'm losing interest in the car.

PS.
I think selling a used product that is half gone for half the price of retail is expecting a lot.

Well I was going to have current pictures of the car to show what this stuff can do, but the car got dirty again before I could get a picture of it.

I realize $20 may be high and that's why I said I'm open to offers. The Gold Class Wax though was $15 IIRC and I used very little of it, so that's not too out of line.

Regardless, I want this stuff gone! Send me an offer!
