Another VW Update from DBOLD! - 04/17/08 05:05 PM

Hey guys, I've been thinking about this forum lately and figured I'd stop in to say hello and give a quick update. I know I posted a picture of a green gti I was supposed to be getting but I passed that deal up and kept my car, which is the white VW Golf Sport. It now has a stage 1 ACT 6puck Performance clutch, a 9lb lightened flywheel, a short shift kit, and a close ratio tranny out of a G60 Corrado. She gets up and goes now and she is really fun to drive, so fun in fact that I started my own club a midst a very busy state that has 5 clubs in it already. That state is Rhode Island btw, the smallest state in the country. As controversial as that was in the beginning, we now are the most popular club thus far. We hold a weekly gtg every wednesday night at the local applebees that produces 50-60 cars weekly, except for last week when we had over 80 VW's, Audi's, and BMW's not counting the stupid kids that come in with there honda's, subaru's, and cough Neon's cough SRT-4's  ...anyway the club name is Euro:Society and you can check out our forum www.eurosociety.net Anyway enough about me, how are you guys doing?

Wow, nice going!
Did you have to do all that work, or that was just mod territory for the car?

We just had a mod day. This kid rolled up in a VW R32, blue, hooded up! BadA$$ looking car. Put a CSC on it! Not even the biggest one they make for the car, and there isn't but 1/2" to work around the damn thing in the engine bay. Don't think I have any pics of it, if I do, I'll be happy to post them up.

I am running 12psi!
I really like some of the GTI looking VWs, just not sure if that car would fit me, not my style but I do like them. And they can be modded heavily. I've seen some sweet rides.

Hey like they say,"Keep your friends close...but your enemies closer." Nah but really if i wasn't driving an American car, I'd be driving German car. I say keep up the good work on it. But check back from time to time so we know what to do to stay ahead of you and your boys on the Modded curve thumbsup
