OK, I'm gonna put this out there because apparently people are confused and this is one of my biggest pet peeves. Here goes...just because your car is NEW does not mean that your car is FAST. I absolutely hate it when a brand new Camry or Accord or Hyundai pulls up to me and wants to race. They're obviously completely stock, because they're fresh off the line. Granted, these people will probably neglect their vehicles for the next few years, so this is the fastest it will ever be, but that doesn't mean that they can roll up and try to race, they're just going to get embarassed.

This gets to me too. They're just pissed cause they spent a ton of money on a slow car. Whether you spend $2k on a Honda, or $30k, it's still going to be slow.

Luckily, I spent $8k and got one of the fastest vehicles they ever made.

That's another thing that drives me nuts is anyone who tries to race a bike. I don't even understand the point of trying to beat a motorcycle. They weigh 1/4 or less of what a car does, yet all my buddies with bikes say that mustangs and all kinds of crap try to race them all the time. Why waste your gas when it's so expensive right now and you're just going to get embarassed?

1/4 try again lol

I think Bryant's bike weighs in like 350- 400 pounds with something in the neighborhood of 130hp.

The same people that try to race a bike must be the same people that sit around arguing whether SUVs can be categorized as trucks.

Pointless! lol

I hate the fact that every young guy with an import that has been lower to scrape height and has a fart can muffler now thinks its a race car...and they think their ability to weave thru traffic on the interstate shows their driving skill...my son dropped by with one of his friends last week who owns a Neon, equipped with the king hell aluminum wing and coffee can exhaust...first he proudly announced that he was going to enter a drifting contest with his car (it was all I could do to hold my tongue) then he expressed his disgust that he had lost a roll-on drag race to my sons' car (my old 95 Intrepid, 3.3six,duals &a CAI...200k)...I lost all control...I felt like challenging him to a grudge match at VA motorpark on their next open night and take my mild GT and spank him back home to Momma. What dream world are these guys living in? I cant blame them for wanting the 4cyl cars with gas like it is, but get real.

V-twins are big on torque and short on HP...the price you pay for that Harley-esque exhaust note. But cruisers are about style, sound and looks, not peg scraping and knee dragging. As far as my sons friend goes, all I can say is there are worst types he could hang around with, so I dont complain. (but he could use some education)

and they always talk about how lightweight the car is, and then say that since they have half of your engine size, you should be twice as fast.
