I'm in!!!!!!!!!!!

Made it into GA on monday. Got the furniture on tuesday. Thursday we finally got our cable lost the internet and tech came back out this morning and Im on. The house has a few quirks to take care of. Not bad for looking over the internet. Love the neighborhood. It's quiet lots and lots of trees. Backyard is full of pecan trees. Need to put an awning over the back porch cause falling pecans hurt. Garage is huge plenty of room to work in. I'll get some pics up later.

at least its falling pecans instead of peaches ...welcome to GA and glad to hear things are going pretty well so far.

Can't be worse than chestnuts can it? I wish we had pecan trees, I love pecans. All we have are black walnut trees and I don't even like walnuts.

I agree with the driveway slope. I HATE when the driveway slopes towards the house. You'll get a nice little pond when it rains. My driveway slopes away from my house. I see that as still being a PITA. I can't work on my car outside in the driveway.

Looks like a nice wooded area in the back of the house.
In the shot of the front of the house, the area to the right of where your car is parked, what's behind that wall? Is it part of the garage or is the garage strictly a 2 car?
Also, that's not Gub'ment housing is it, or is it just a normal everyday neighborhood?

The garage is a two car, the area to the right is laundry and part of the basement.

Not govt. housing. Regular ole neighborhood. Believe it or not this is the first time I've lived on the economy since I left home 16 years ago lol.

congrats man!, i love the south, when i was a kid we drove to my granparents house in port charolette Fla 11 times, we always stayed in ga on the last night, very nice state,you got any moss growing off trees, i always thought that was cool..and yeah any extra pecans send them my way...mmmm pecan pie

what part of Georgia are you in? i will more then likely be coming through at some point in the near future since i might be moving to south Florida for the spring semester.(if im accepted and can get the loans.)

Is it possible to get some steel and support the beams to take out that pole in the center?
We had some plates fab up for our porch and we took out two 4x4 poles.
I like the little four wheel truck down the street.

I like the truck alot too. Only bad thing is the back seat is getting tight for the kids. Looking at the Avalanches.

so much for the G8...I must admit to having a soft spot for the Avalanche myself...if it only had a console shifter and cost $20k less

Have you heard about the MPG on those Avalanches, wow. I guess the newer ones might be better, but the off road 4x4 package ones, like in the Excursion MPG range, lol!

When I get one it'll be 2WD with the Z85 package. MPG won't be much worse then the current truck.

I went to Tallahasse, FL this weekend. On my way back, on I10, I say an exit for Marietta! I was like, wow wonder how far from here Herc is? Hehehe.
