3d Torque Star model

So I'm going to try and model a GP.

I'm starting with the Tq*'s for obvious reasons.

Here's a render.


I need to add some better textures to it but the model is alright.

I tell ya though, it was a REAL PITA.

oh i bet it was a pain, lol i do rims all the time with those programs, and it does suck but when your done, you dont care its just sweet lol. what program are you using? lately ive been using SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and Autodesk VIZ.

Do you use those at school or something?

I can't remember if Autodesk inventory was the program I learned in college 7 years ago that required Sun workstations and linux, or if it was the program I used at my first internship about 8 years ago...

Yeah we use that in school, i also have it on my laptop, i have the whole Autodesk 2008 software.

Man that takes some work. Lookin good so far. On one of the cycle boards I frequent some one is doing one on a bike. So far he has the frame done.

Yeah I just looked at some old papers and Autodesk is what I used on my first internship doing CAD/CAM design and programming.

For the life of me I can't remember the program I used in college... it was a resource hog so I doubt anyone has it on their laptop. IIRC it was a $30,000 seat license per workstation.
