Cabins/Cottages to rent in North Eastern States

Hey guys, well i'm looking to go on some vay-cay probobly late summer and wanna do a trip to the states. I really want a log cabin or cottage on a lake for 4 ppl for about a week. Looking for somewhere not too far away, so North Eastern areas (like Buffalo, Detroit, Cleveland, Boston areas would be good (we live in south eastern ontario). Anybody have any recommendations that I should check out? Thanks.

I'm a couple minutes from Lake Erie (45 minutes East of Cleveland) and don't know of too much around here, other than possibly the best beach on Lake Erie (Headlands). Check out http://www.putinbay.com/
