Sadly, I could help but laugh as he was rolling on the ground.
I have a hard enough time telling people not to smoke around a battery when I test them. Then you have to explain that the rotten egg smell (hydrogen gas) being expelled by a bad battery is flammable. Sulfuric acid for everyone!

I used to work with a guy who would constantly have a lit cigarette in his hand, while working over an engine. I always made sure I was at the other end of the shop, just in case he went..

Sadly, most people don't realize that the gas fumes can be deadlier than the fuel itself. That's why I always remind people to use a flashlight, not a drop light, when working on an open fuel system.
