I have a 2000 Grand Prix GT and I am having a cluncking/ knocking in the front end of the car. I hear it when i turn left and right. Anyone have any ideas what it might be?

First checks would be CV and hubs.

Then inspect all your bushings and mounts. Look for strut mounts, tie rods, control arms, loose spindles, dogbones, engine mount, tranny mount, sway bars, strut tower braces (if so equipped), rims, and finally brakes.

Good luck to you and welcome! Enjoy your stay.

Welcome.
All good suggestions above, but my vote is for sway bar or sway bar end link. The front sway bar or end links often break due to rust - and the fact that the OEM sway bar is hollow. Luckily sway bar problem is obvious once you raise the car and remove the wheels. Also sway bar and end links are inexpensive and easy DIY.
Good luck.

Probably the sway bar if it happens when turning. Wouldn't surprise me since you're car is up north.

How many miles is on the car? Strut mounts and bad control arm bushing also do this. I chased a clunk that turned out to be worn control arm bushings. This was after I changed strut mounts.

Come to think of it, all my front end noise has gone away since my strut/sway bar install...

Your sway bars are easily checked if you are under the car or if the wheels are off.

Take it in for a rotation somewhere and just ask them to see if the swaybar ends and endlinks are alright.
