Man that things in Oklahoma City. That's about a 20 minute drive from my house Too bad I don't have the money, I've always wanted a Daytona. I love that color.

Oh I thought he was talking about the 2000 GP's in general, not the Daytona editions.

S/C doesn't count. The EGR does that, which is why some of us have disabled it. On the plus side, it creates a tighter rotor fit, so it makes more boost.

rook, your saying the carbon buildup makes more boost? i haven't went any deeper than taking the tb off, pulling the s/c and valve covers off tomorrow

In the supercharger casing, yes. It cause the tolerances to get closer, allowing the rotors to work at a higher efficiency. It has the same affect on the rotors as the teflon coating from the factory. That's why many people recommend not cleaning the rotors/casing, especially if you've lost most of the teflon coating.
This is all in a minute amount though. I don't know how much more efficient the rotors become with the deposits compared to without.

i was going to pull it off this weekend to clean it out, so what your saying is don't clean it? The buildup i saw would be seriously restricting airflow going into the s/c, right after the tb.

Do what you want. I cleaned my casing out as well, but you'll never get that porous aluminum casting really clean (just past the throttle body and on the bottom side of the outlet port). The gunk just clings to it and only some kind of caustic cleaning agent would really make a difference. Check out the after pics on the general forum that 4drgt posted on his M90 case.
