how long should I wait until I don't have to worry about serious bodily and eye injury?

seriously.

Also, how hard is it to unclamp it, and reclamp it successfully?

Thanks.

20-30 mins should be fine. I forget how its clamped on but should be pretty easy to remove with a pair of pliers or or a screwdriver.

Hello,

I agree with Herc.
There is no pressure on the tube, unless it is plugged.
You do need to be careful of hot coolant(oxy-moron), especially coming from the neck of the radiator. Pending on how long it has been driven, and, conditions, as to how long it will take to cool.

Later now,
Clint

It's not difficult at all to unclamp it - the main concern is, of course, hot coolant. Pop your hood and leave it open, give it 30 mins and go for it. I disconnected most of my radiator hoses and completely removed my coolant overfill resovoir when checking my system after getting a low coolant light and disconnecting all the tubing took all of ten minutes, using just a good pair of needle nose pliers and one 6" standard screwdriver.

Yeah I was actually all worried about it for nothing, it was pretty darn easy. The most difficult thing was securing the bottom bolt of the new coolant tank.

Installing my cai was a breeze as well, except there was this 1 bolt I had to reverse that was where the PCM tray is located. Also a product of being a 97 model year.

So basically, because of my year it took twice the time, but my good god I'm so happy its over with. Not to mention its a huge difference.

Is it normal to really be able to hear the supercharger after installing cai?

Also, I read on the engine bay of my car that there is special procedure when filling up your coolant tank. Well since my coolant tank is a 99+ in a 97, could someone pleae tell me what the new procedure is? Thanks.

The only thing "special" about the fill-up procedure I can think of is opening the air-bleed valves to get rid of any pockets of air. Don't recall any other special notices or warnings from my owner's manual. I could be missing something though

There is no difference in procedures from 97-03 I doubt they even changed for the 04 and ups.
