Inoticed a very small spot on the driveway this morning. The T-Bat has been sitting for about three days and the spot might be 8-10in, so not a huge leak...hard to see down in that area which is the passenger side front, below the battery.
I cant feel any wet on the bottom of the lower rad hose so I am assuming the worst...plastic tank on the rad itself leaking.

any other ideas?...and if you have replaced a radiator lately how much did it set you back?

Could be the low coolant sensor leaking...if it turns out to be the radiator itself, get the Oversized radiator from ZZP... hammer

I was just thinking along the same lines as Blackarrow.

Only thing is, that if you haven't pulled the sensor at all, I don't think it would leak.

Or stroll into AutoZone and ask for a radiator for a '98 Monte with the 3800. It's 1 3/8" core and drops in... all for $220 w/ lifetime warranty.

Yah, check the bottom of the low coolant senor. I just had that issue. It was quite hard to find. Take out your headlight, gives you better visibility to browse for the leak.

I'll have alook but if I have to swap out the rad, the ZZ unit does look like sweet deal...and I like the better trans cooler built in.

how often is the "woot" sale?

im pretty sure the woot sale is over. ZZP was just choosing a few random items at the end of '07/beginning of '08.

If you haven't found your problem yet.

And if you have a strut tower mount overflow bottle, check the hose that runs from the rad cap to there, In my old GP my hose caught the belt and it rubbed a hole in it, I thought my water pump crapped out until I investigated more

including the larger trans cooler?

...its notthe coolant transfer tube to the bottle. that looks to be in good shape...the drip on the ground is farther forward than that...and right underneath the right side radiator tank...but the bottom of the lower hose is dry.
gonna need to lift it up and get a closer look underside.

Isn't a trans cooler separate?

There's one built into the radiator stock.

If you look down the passenger side of it you'll see two hard lines going into it. Those would be tranny lines. cool

Nice.
So what about having an aftermarket one with a bigger trans cooler built in it?
I'd like to eventually replace mine and have bigger trans cooler built in it.
