Question, what is the major differences b/w the L36 and L67 heads?

I have a spare NA 3.8 out of Buick and tore it down. I want to port and polish the heads and use on my 00 gtp will this work?

Also, I have the block and I will get it dipped and honed. How much is it worth to people who want to make a racing block out of it?

iirc the L36 heads and L67 heads are not interchangable.

Hello,

L36 heads are lacking the injector ports that are required for the L67.

Unless you want to drop the whole upper intake, including the Super Charger, the L36 heads will not work on your GTP.

Later now,
Clint

Not quite right ,if they are 97 heads they have injector bosses just not machined out, other than that the block is identical.Chico.

Ok, so if they are '97 heads, they will work if you get them machined to accept the injectors?

Good info..... A lot of work, but nice to know, knowing that L67 Heads are hard to come by, and usually cracked.

Thats right for some reason the L-36 heads do'nt seem to crack as much and are usually cheaper to buy,but the machining may not be cheap ,but it is another option .Chico.
