03 GP SE with basic radio ( I think) AM/FM/CD and 2 band eq

I went to BestBuy looking to price and aftermarket radio and I was told I need like an $80 to also be added in order to keep useful sensors that are in the stock radio.

Anyone that has done an aftermarket head unit had any issues or codes

If you have the Bose System in your car you'll need a PAC adapter so your speakers will produce sound. Radios arent hard to install I installed mine. When you replace the stock head unit you will lose the steering wheel controls but you can buy a box/adapter that will allow you to keep the functionality. I just use the remote that came with my new head unit.

Stereos are super easy. If you've got the mount kit, stereo, and tools ready, it's less than a 1hr job. The hardest part is removing the bezel, and that's just a matter of maneuvering it from behind the steering wheel.

Go on Crutchfield.com and enter in all your info, even the radio you want and it will tell you and explain to you what you need. Then you search for a lower price. But be careful, don't do what I did and but a part off ebay that may not work. Make sure it is a respectable seller so you don't have to rebuy the electronic pac over again.

Should say on the radio somewhere if you do. And if you do usually it will say on the speaker covers also. If it is a Bose "no matter" what it is then it will definitely let you know by having BOSE on it somewhere.

In the rear deck lid, you'll have 4 speakers for a Bose. Regular system has just 2.
