I know there are already thread about that. I don't have time to fix that. Can I disconnect the battery so I can cover the towel on my key?

It is shown "orange" light on P. I think it will drain the battery if I leave it on?

Pop the cover off on the steering column or by the shifter and use a pen to push the button in. That should release your key.

Tilt wheel all the way up, reach fingers up in and press the button, easy fix.

I have the same problem palsut, get a pen and reach in the same hole and push the button in like they said, unless you got real small fingers you can't get it in the hole.

I have been keeping a tire pressure gauge in the visor. It's the perfect size to poke the button and not miss. Extend, poke, retract, get out.

I already fall asleep after I post the thread lol

Actually, my dad already fixed it after I just post this. I asked him how did you do that? He says pull shift all way to "1" then park it. It was remove easy. I told him I think it will happen again because it has been many same problems on this site.

I will try your advice if it is happen again. Thanks guys.

I guess it is official broken for now. frown

I couldn't get pen fit in so I use my hand behind steering wheel to feel something. Finally, I feel it and push it to remove the key out. I guess I'm okay with that as long this car is working fine. Guess time to used that for many year since this car is my daily driving. It will be confused for me because my summer car is working fine. I have to make sure which car to push under button for remove the key lol

with the jb weld on it, does the key release at all points of the switch, or only at the off position?
