4 grand here real quick once the sail is over lol. Check out ebay. Well about the grand prix, gonna be having about 1500 bucks to spend was wondering with my grand prix having 276K miles on it almost now would it be ok you guys think to still mod it out, if i get the usual 3.4 pulley mods or not? The engine seems fine and all. The tranny lags a little bit between 1-2 gear. I mean this because it sometimes it will shift soft and other times it will shift hard. Not really slipping just hesitating. Yes it is old and is normal. Just wondering more or less if putting a 3.4 pulley is really going to hurt the tranny any more or put even more wear and tear on it then the normal 3.8 would. Yes I will have the mods of the 3.4 needed. Only serious info. from like Herc, austingtp, lol veterans of this site please thanks. This is something that i need the grand prix veterans to tell me. Taking no risks thanks again guys.
adding more boost to a rediculesly high mileage motor is probably not a good idea either rebuild motor and tranny or look for a lower mileage car.Chico.

Yea man, I'm in the same boat you are in. I want to do mods and it's really, really hard not to, even on my car that has 142k miles. But 276k miles, I wouldn't do anything, instead, I'd buy a newer car with fewer miles.
Thing is though it runs perfectly fine. Not like I got any issues of any kind. Ill prolly just rebuild the tranny first and then go to work on mods. Ill use the 1600 or so I get on the rebuild.
I agree with Chico.. you should not add boost to a motor with that many miles... also you could easily damage your old suspension by adding power since it's not meant to handle that type of power.
I'm just going off what other really knowledgeable guys around my area have said to me, because I either wanted to build up my motor or drop an L67 in, but alot of guys will tell you that if you do something of that magnitude to an older car stuff will start breaking much more and you'll hate yourself.
